Schedule Startup & Shutdown is not working on some displays

Applies to: Manager Advanced; Startup & Shutdown

Issue

Power schedules set through Manager do not work reliably on some displays.

What to check first

Work through these steps in order:

  1. Confirm the affected device has an active Manager Advanced license, since startup and shutdown scheduling is an Advanced feature.

  2. Confirm the device model supports startup and shutdown scheduling using the device compatibility chart.

  3. Check how many schedules are configured on the device. Manager supports a maximum of 3 schedules per device.

  4. Check for overlapping schedule times, which can prevent a schedule from applying as expected.

  5. Confirm the device time zone is set correctly, since schedules run according to the device's configured time zone.

  6. If a schedule is set to run across midnight or on the same day for both startup and shutdown, double-check the start and end times, since this is a known area of confusion.

  7. Confirm the device firmware is up to date.

When to contact Support

Contact Support if the device has an active Advanced license, is a supported model, has 3 or fewer non-overlapping schedules, and the correct time zone, but the schedule still does not run as expected.
