Applies to: Manager Broadcast; Advanced broadcast where applicable
A scheduled broadcast stops showing on a display after the display is powered off and back on, and does not resume automatically.
Work through these steps in order:
Check whether Continue broadcast when device is online was enabled for this broadcast, since this setting controls whether a broadcast resends to a device that reconnects.
Note the broadcast type used: Standard, Urgent, Playlist, Web page, Media, Presentation, or Layout, since resume behavior may not be the same across all types.
Check the broadcast's duration or end-time setting to confirm whether the broadcast window had already ended before the power cycle.
Note whether the display was fully powered off and back on, or only briefly disconnected from the network while staying powered on, since these are different situations.
After the device powers back on, confirm it shows as Online again in the Manager device list.
Some additional points that may be useful:
This is a general checklist, not a confirmed fix. Whether a broadcast is expected to resume after a full power cycle has not yet been confirmed for this workbook.
Whether broadcast resume after a full device power cycle is expected behavior, a known limitation, or a bug has not yet been confirmed. Contact Support with the details below so the case can be reviewed rather than assuming a self-service fix.
